Zake was the third of five foals born on our farm this past year. He's very dear to our hearts, since he was the first proven offspring of his sire, Mason, and he completely inherited his sire's calm, quiet, and easygoing temperament. He's also out of one of our favorite little piebald mares, Lucky Acres Princess Dawn, "Princess."

    It's been an absolute delight to have foaled this little boy out and watch him grow and develop. Post-weaning, he met me at the fence twice daily for butt scratches and a little bit of extra attention (and some time away from those other mean mares). I'm definitely going to miss this little ray of sunshine in my daily routine around the farm.

    Again, congratulations to his new owners! We're going to love seeing what this black blagdon colt becomes. We're certain he's going to be super.
